Repairing instruction about laptop AC adapter

This guide is about how to repair Dell Inspiron 6400 AC adapter£¬ if the Dell Inspiron 6400 AC adapter is dead or simply can not work£¬ I hope this can help. First£¬ you have to disassemble the laptop and remove the motherboard. These are the instructions for removing some of the major laptops including IBM£¬ Dell£¬ HP£¬ Compaq£¬ Toshiba. If your laptop is not in the list£¬ you have to find a way to take it apart.
All tools required are:
1. Soldering iron or soldering station. I use WES51 Weller soldering station and for this work to adjust the temperature to about 800-850 ¡ã F.
2. I can use solder resin core diameter high-tech silver RadioShack taking 0.022.I think the rosin core solder will work fine standard.
3. Desoldering pump to remove the solder around component leads. I can use Soldapullt Edsyn pump£¬ model DS 017.
4. 99£¥ isopropyl alcohol and tooth brash for cleaning the base plate of the flow.
Start the desoldering process with adding some new and fresh tin to the three contacts. This will make old solder more fluid£¬ easier to remove. While heating one of the Dell Inspiron 6400 AC Adapter contacts£¬ remove the solder from this contact with the desoldering pump. Repeat the same steps with all contacts take power until you remove the weld as possible.
